After 2.5hrs Viggo drove us back to the port, even took a longer route to share some local history and sing us a Norwegian song. “Riding on traditional but sprung sleigh was a delight. Everything was top notch. The ride through the tundra under the light of a huge moon, which gave plenty of light to view our surroundings. What could we see? Trees, a river and lots of snow. The meal was cooked over an open fire, which consisted of reindeer meat. Being vegetarian it would be wise to let them know before you travel where they can make arrangements for you. Horses were small but tough and were constantly powerful to tow us through the snow. Bonus was they dropped us back after the trip to where we needed to be next. Well…”

We were provided with a warm blanket to keep us toasty and had a pit stop where Jonny cooked fresh cinnamon buns on an open fire, washed down with coffee and hot blackcurrant juice.”
